SMPlayer Portable is a special version which doesn't require installation. You only need to uncompress the package, wherever you want - in your document's folder, your desktop... and then double click on smplayer.exe to run the player.
You can copy the SMPlayer folder to an external drive and run it on a different computer. The portable package is provided in a 7z archive. You can open 7z files with 7-Zip or any other file archiver which supports 7z. SMPlayer Portable is available for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows.
SMPlayer supports the most known formats and codecs: avi, mp4, mkv, mpeg, mov, divx . you can play all of them, thanks to its built-in codecs. You don't need to find and install third party codecs.
